What is it?

The question often arises: What is the difference between coaching and therapy?

This is an important question and one we care to shed some light on.

The main difference bewteen the two is that where therapy looks at the past, present and future and healing aspects; coaching looks at the present and the future. Coaching is more focused on moving forward from where we stand today.

A therapist needs credentials and a degree whereas (unfortunately) anyone can call themselves a coach. There are certifications to gain in coaching and you will find that all coaches connected to The Coaching Factory have credentials and experience within their field to ensure a qualitative experience and adherence to guidelines.

Then the range of coaching continues

We have health coaching, sports coaching and more where the process also includes an element of teaching and sharing information with the goal to help you reach your goal.
